A study produced in 2014 examined the development of the league from 2006 to 2013.

 

Findings included:

  • An increase of 30% in high intensity running

  • An increase of 80% in the number of sprints

  • An increase of 35% in the distance covered during sprints

  • An increase of 12% in the number of intense short passes
