Develop explosive lower body power to make sure you're dominating your aerial battles and always first to the ball. The box jump will also help you improve your ability to land safely and absorb force  

KEY POINTS -

  • Start by selecting the correct hight box - remembering that the reason we use a box is simply to reduce the impact of our landings

  • Drop into a squat position pushing your hips back and down whilst throwing your elbows back behind you

  • Without pausing explode upwards as high as you can extending your hips, knees and ankles

  • Land softly with knees bent and hips back

  • Step down from the box and reset for the next rep
